Product Transparency

We collaborate with our customers to enhance product transparency and support LEED certification efforts. Southwire is a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Member. Over 100 of our products have independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), representing over 90% of our wire and cable product categories sold.

Achieving The Copper Mark demonstrates the highest standard of responsible production in the copper industry, a commitment to continuous improvement, and contribution toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Three of Southwire’s manufacturing sites – Denton, TX; Bremen, IN; Lafayette, IN - have received The Copper Mark.
