Solid well built Roto-Split Cutter
Over the past few weeks I have been running AL sheathed MC cable. the RS-101A Roto-Split has been by my side the entire time cutting in junction boxes for lighting, in wall rough, and panel troughs. The rotating knob for the handle is comfortable for prolonged use and has a convenient storage space for spare blades. At times it does need to be adjusted at the base where it enters the body of the tool because it is prone to becoming loose over time. The adjustable quick clamp is easy to set and does not slow down your progress when having different size MC cable to cut into the same box although I wish it would adjust itself to the MC cable automatically.

Great MC Cable Cutter!
I was able to use this product on an installation of several 12/3 MC cables today, and the tool worked very well on all cuts. I liked the feel in my hand as it was very comfortable to hold and operate. The blade cut through the outer metal sheath easily in only a few turns and didn't touch the conductors inside. This one also has a wide ranges of cables that it can be used on. The ability to keep spare blades in the handle is another nice feature. Great product! I will be ordering more of these for my crew.

great cable cutter
This cable cutter is the best one that you can have. Very well made, very sturdy, amazing quality product. It was very easy to use it, I was amazed how easy and fast cuts cables, don't need to press or anything else. It cuts cables 14-2 to 10-4 mc. It has very sharp blades that is what makes cutting easy and fast. If you need a cable cutter I highly recommend this one, you will not be dissapointed.

The almighty roto split
I used this tool on my commercial job, at an urgent care. It did an amazing job of keeping up with the hospital grade MC and BX. It fits well in my hand ergonomically and is not creaky like some of the other brands of roto splits. My only issue is the little red plug on the back of the tool. No matter what, when I put the wire in the tool it pops out.

Great Cutter, easy to use.
This cutter is easy to use, and has storage for blades in handle. I use this on all the jobs that are using M/C cable. I've used this on different sizes of M/C cable. I eaven use it with M/C with dimming wires and isolated ground wire.Easier and a cleaner cut than using a pair of side cutters. Highly recommend.

Roto split cutter
The roto split cutter was easy and simple to use. The cutter operated like orher brands and was way better than my old merhod of using a saw. when i first opened the packaging i knew it was durable and going to cut. After cutting through multiple cables i know the blade will last and it worked as stated.

Does exactly as designed and easy to use
This product does exactly what it was designed to do. It cuts clean and fast. The quick locking handle is very conventint compared to the older design. Do however wish it came with a spare cutting wheel that was located somewhere on the tool just in case the wheel breaks or becomes too dull to use.

Very nice roto-split
This is a nice pair of roto-splits. Quality feels good, and cuts armored cable very easily. They feel better in the hand than the last pair I owned, and fit a little better in tight quarters. Adjusting to different size cable is very easy. Definitely recommend these.

What armored materials will the blade cut. I know it will cut aluminum but what about a steel? or Stainless Steel?

This cutter accepts BX cable from 14/2 in. to 8/4 in. and 3/8 in. flex as well as AC, MC and HCF cables.

Can that smallest bolt which keeps the cutting wheel position be purchased separately? If not, is that a standard or metric size bolt? This is not to be confused with the bolt which connects the cutting wheel to the 'crank' handle. It is for mdl RS-101A
