Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid tool, Easy on the hands. Built to last! This pair of crimpers are very solid. The tension of the pivot point is perfect. Not too tight to use with one hand and not too loose. It also delivers a consistent, tight crimp. In addition, these handles are much more comfortable to use. If you use crimpers often, I would upgrade to these handles. The only inconvenace of these handles is that they do not slide into a tool bag or pocket as easy as the standard handles. Very happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bright Handles make it hard to lose. I've had these crimpers for over a month now and so far the experience has been mixed. Of the positive aspects- the bright yellow handles make it hard to lose the tool itself. the pivot between the two jaws is fairly loose and does not require much of a break in period. However on the negative side of the same topics, the grips on the handles were not secured/glued thoroughly and while crimping a stay-conn, I experienced feeling the grips coming loose. Not a devastating flaw as it can be easily fixed by removing grips and applying a stronger adhesive. The tool appears to complete the task fairly well. The cutting edge toward the nose of the tool is not very sharp so they require a large amount of force and energy to cut anything. But overall I am looking to use the tool to effectively complete a crimp connection and not cut so in that light they are fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good ergonomic feel Got ahold of these Crimpers made by Southwire. From my field assessment the cushion grip makes a good feel when crimping non-insulated connectors. Its not too bulky, so it fits nicely in tool carriers. It functionality can only be outdone by its sheek look on the handles. With its hardened steel body I’m sure it stand the test of time and spot in my tool bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than a my racheting crimper This pair of crimpers is great. You can get the proper amount of leverage and they feel very good in your hand. I have crimped small and large connector with it and it works well with all the sizes I have tried. The only thing I would change is the cutters at the end. I would make them so that they could cut smaller wires easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new Go To crimpers ! These have quickly become my new go to crimpers. Great feel in the hand, smooth cuts, and easy to use. I keep them in my troubleshooting bag and they come with on every job. I cannot wait to try the stripper/crimper combo to eliminate my Klein. I can see these lasting for quite some time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong and durable After a couple months of keeping these in my daily tool bag, I found myself always going for the south wire 9” crimpers. They are strong and reliable, and cut through any gauge wire I throw at them. 10/10 and definitely recommend to co workers, other tradesmen in my field.

Just bought a pair of these and want to make sure what crimp does what. No instructions on package, just want to make sure.

The ‘O-Shaped’ crimp is for Insulated Terminals and Connectors. The ‘U-Shaped’ crimp is for Non-Insulated Terminals and Connectors.
