Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well The company I work for bought this to replace are old ones . Works very well in the perfect world but there is one very big problem with this set up. To set it up you have to insert the conduit adapter inside the conduit if you have the panel guts installed it can be very hard to get it in. If not impossible Today you get pushed more then ever before and seems that you never have your switchgear /panels at the same time . I would give it a 5 if it had different type of adapter like are old poller had

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 Expensive parts both have broke. We use this cable puller maybe once or twice a month and 90% of the time on Southwire Simpull cable 600 MCM being the largest wire and that is rare. After owning this machine for less than 2 years we have had to replace the motor costing around $500. Shortly after this expense, the gear box starts non stop leaking causing us to have to constantly refill with oil, we send this part in to find out its not under warranty and will cost over $1,000 to replace as it is not repairable. That is a lot of extra expense in under 2 years for a $4000 piece of equipment. I wouldn't recommend this puller to anyone and wont be buying again. We have had 3K pullers that have had a lot more loads put on them and have been a lot more durable. Save your money and get the smaller 3K if you are set on going with Maxis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Mid Size Cable Puller Have been using the 6k for 4+ years and have had NO problems with it. This Tugger pulls everything we ask it to, is easy to set up, and extremely portable. I don't hardly get the big Tugger out anymore. I will offer this tip: Take the conduit insert portion off of the conduit adaptors and just use the ring to circle the conduit. The internal portion is rarely needed and gets in the way.
