Very Durable!!
When I first saw these strippers I knew I wanted them. The thing that first caught my eye was the grips. They looked comfortable and durable. They did not fail my expectation they exceeded them! I travel across the states for work. They withstood being tossed around my case as TSA leave tools loose after inspections. With other strippers the grips typically get loose and fall off not these. After extensive use they stayed sharp. If you are looking for a great wire stripper that will last a long time, stay sharp and comfortable in you hand then look no further this is what you need! Highly recommended!

An interesting Twist on an old tool
I've used many strippers in my career but never this NMD cutting style. For 95% of my stripping needs when roughing in a house they're great. The only limitations come when you need larger than 12 AWG or when using 3 wire. They still work for 3 wire, but you need a knife to strip the jacket. I've had them about 2 weeks now and they came nice and loose, but not sloppy, they just worked smoothly without binding or feeling lousy. Seem to be holding their edge well. The retained spring and lock that moves easily but stays where you put it is also nice.

Razor sharp, but is lacking.
First off, I like the yellow handles because my other sets have dark handles so this one is easier to find in my tool bag. They are a lighter weight than what I am used to and that's okay. The tips did not hold the insulation well and a couple of times while grasping the wire firmly, the tip split apart and the wire got stuck between them. The graduated markings can hardly be seen in low light. I am disappointed that they have no crimp capability so I had to switch tools.
Not bad, but not for me.

More useful than I expected
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about the Romex strippers. I work commercial mainly, so it was a while before I got a chance to try them out, but I was pleasantly surprised when I did. They operated very smoothly, stopping Romex with about a tenth of the effort I would put forth with a razor knife. Plus, there was no concern about nicking the insulation. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who does even a moderate amount of residential work.

Disappointing, uncomfortable & hard to use
I have been with the Southwire Tool evaluation team for almost a year now and this is the first tool I have has issues with. In all fairness, it does cut and strip Romex sheath and strips insulation from the wires, but with some difficulty. I had to ‘pull’ rather hard to remove the casing from the wire and when I stripped the individual wires, had problems cleanly removing the insulation without leaving a scratch on the conductor. When closing the strippers, I had great difficulty with using my thumb to engage the “lock”. The tang on the lock causes mild discomfort because of the odd angle it presents to the thumb and does not allow the tool’s jaws to completely close. The grips are very comfortable and feel good in the hand and the “screw cutters” are very handy. I’m still trying to figure what the two holes in the jaws are for…

Great Wiring Tool
This is a great wire stripper, the great feature is being able to strip the outside jacket, it is very neat and clean and I was impressed with how easy it was to strip the jacket, these strippers are very sharp. Before I had these strippers I would use a knife to cut the jacket and then use side cuts to cut it of but with these strippers I can strip the jacket, strip the wire and use the tip of the strippers to make a loop in the wire, that makes these strippers a great time saving tool. Other great features are the 6 and 8-32 screw cutters, the double dipped handles are great also this makes them comfortable to use which is very important when wiring a house. I like the stainless steel construction of these strippers that makes them strong and rust proof. I highly recommend these strippers and I am lookin forward to my next wiring project.

Excellent strippers!
Once again Southwire has done it again! These strippers are as good or better than any on the market. They are sharp and cut wire easily. They strip 14/2 and 12/2 ROMEX with ease with out nicking the wire under the ROMEX sheath and to me that's the real test. They also cut 6-32 and 8-32 screws without problem and dont mess up the threads on the screw. The handles also fit good in your hands. I would highly recommend these strippers to anyone.

Great stripper
So to start I really liked the clean strip of the jacket with no nicks in the cable, the lock location is great right in the middle making it almost impossible to bump when using , The head is nice and beefy and this seems to be a all around well made and easy to use tool. Very happy with its performance. Definitely would recommend to co-workers or friends.
