People leaders support the foundation of our strategy through ensuring accountability and prioritization across the company.
MARC Leadership Development Spotlight:
Southwire has assinged all Directors, Site Leaders, Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents and Executive Leaders to go through the MARC Leadership Development program in 2023. MARC, Men Advocating for Real Change, is a Catalyst initiative that inspires and equips leaders to leverage their unique opportunity and responsibility to be advocates for equity. While MARC is focused on engaging men, it is not exclusive to men. The initiative is about building effective gender partnership—which can only be achieved by bringing everyone to the table. MARC’s leading-edge research, breakthrough thought leadership and transformational learning programs disrupt traditional DEI approaches to enhance gender partnership and accelerate the creation of inclusive, equitable workplaces for all.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Performance Objective Spotlight:
To ensure leadership accountability across the enterprise, Southwire launched a DEI performance objective requirement for all people leaders in 2022. This is centered around all managers and above being required to have, at minimum, 10% of their overall performance focused on DEI.
Southwire is proud to announce that it has been named as a Top 10 Enterprise-Wide ERG recipient for the Diversity Impact Awards™ and is recognized on the Top 25 ERGs list.
Southwire is proud to celebrate Nancy Richards Farese as one of 10 outstanding women leaders who make up the 2023 class of Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame inductees.
In support of Southwire’s continued commitment to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization and industry, Cara Herzog, vice president of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) has been named as the company’s Chief DEI Officer.
Over the past few months, Southwire recognized Martin Luther King Jr. Day., Black History Month, Women’s History Month and more by hosting efforts across the company.
