Southwire Hosts Women in NECA at Annual Summit

May 7, 2015

Women in the National Electrical Contractors Association (WIN) is a community within NECA that was “established to provide a collaborative forum for women affiliated with NECA-member companies, chapters, and LMCCs” (source). WIN supports all females in the electrical contracting industry by encouraging their professional development through educational and networking events, such as the annual WIN Leadership Summit. This year, the WIN Leadership Summit will be held May 27-29 in Atlanta, Georgia and Southwire will be playing a key role.

For the first time in WIN Leadership Summit history, Southwire is proud to be hosting the second day of the event at the Carrollton manufacturing facilities. Female owners, CEOs, presidents, vice presidents, and managers of industry businesses who are interested in progressing the electrical contracting industry will be provided with a general insight and perspective into the manufacturing of wire and cable. Southwire will also be able to share their perspective on leadership and introduce their own female leaders.

By encouraging women within your organization to participate, you can:

  • Empower them to become a leader of the industry
  • Make connections with peers, industry leaders and innovators
  • Explore tools and techniques for being more productive and efficient on the job
  • Invest in their time and energy in helping your organization become more successful (source)

Southwire is honored to be taking part and hosting portions of this year’s event. Will we see you there?
