Southwire announced today it has been named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Well-Being 2026 by Newsweek. The award comes as Southwire honors Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to reducing stigma around mental health and advancing conversations around workplace well-being, psychological safety and access to care.

The recognition is based on an evaluation of publicly available data and a confidential nationwide employee survey, highlighting organizations that embed mental health, psychological safety and sustainable workplace practices into their operations. As conversations around employee well-being continue to shape the future of work, the recognition reflects Southwire’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture where team members feel supported both personally and professionally.

"Being recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Well-Being is a meaningful affirmation of the culture we have at Southwire," said Ganesh Ramaswamy, Southwire’s President and CEO. "We believe in creating an environment where people feel valued, heard and empowered to bring their full selves to work. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in programs, resources and leadership practices that prioritize mental well-being and help our team members thrive every day."

Southwire continues to advance its commitment to team member well-being through sustained investments in mental health, benefits and workplace culture. The company’s partnership with Spring Health, launched in 2022, provides team members and their families with comprehensive, personalized mental health support, including access to therapy, coaching, care navigation and work-life resources—often within days of seeking care.

Building on this foundation, Southwire has expanded its broader "Living Well" approach with programs that support physical, emotional and financial well-being. The company continues to invest in enhanced health benefits and resources, including musculoskeletal care, family planning support and wellness programs designed to improve quality of life and long-term health outcomes. These efforts are complemented by a strong focus on engagement and culture, with Southwire maintaining high team member engagement and advancing initiatives that strengthen inclusion, psychological safety and a sense of belonging across its workforce.

"We have moved past the days where a paycheck was the only metric of a 'good' job; today’s employees are looking for environments that offer psychological safety, dignity and a genuine commitment to their holistic health," said Jennifer H. Cunningham, Newsweek Editor-in-Chief. "Newsweek is proud to introduce our ranking of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Well-Being 2026. By spotlighting the companies that treat mental health as a core business priority rather than a peripheral perk, we hope to provide a roadmap for a more resilient and compassionate American workforce."

"This recognition highlights the intentional work we are doing to invest in our people through meaningful programs, resources and leadership practices that prioritize mental well-being," said Deborah Graham, Vice President of Total Rewards, Technology and Talent Management. "At Southwire, we are committed to building a culture where team members feel supported, valued and equipped to succeed both personally and professionally."
