Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could be a great product but for some problems I bought this from a trusted vendor with the expectation that it would work easily and reliably. My first impression as I unpacked this tool was that it was heavy-duty and well-made. That impression changed quickly as I set about assembling the tool and trying a few test cuts. It arrived appearing as if it had been hastened through assembly with only a cursory QA/QC check. It arrived with the crank handle unattached so that it would fit into a smaller package. The pin that anchors the cutter arm was almost not seated on one side. I wondered how soon the pin will move just enough for the arm to slip loose from the lower frame. The thumbscrew that holds the cutter arm in the rest position fell dropped out when I unpacked the tool and was almost lost. The thumbscrew that adjusts the “Quick-Clamp Lever” came apart (the knurled nut came off the screw instead of adjusting it) instead of adjusting the clamp pin. The “Quick-Clamp Lever” would bind against the lower frame as often as not, making it difficult to position or remove the armored cable to be cut. There was no instruction sheet, parts list, or exploded diagram – there was no documentation of any kind packaged with the tool. This left me to guess how to attach the crank handle to the blade. There is an Allen hex set screw by the thumbscrew that holds the cutter arm in the rest position that appears to be for some kind of adjustment, but nothing to describe how to adjust it if necessary. I attempted to make several test cuts of some armored cable based upon my experience with similar tools in the past, but the test cuts were unsuccessful. I checked the Southwire website for downloadable instructions or videos. An answer (posted by Southwire CS) to another customer’s question 2 years ago promised to make instructions available, but that appears not to have happened. I telephoned Southwire’s customer service team for assistance, but they had no more success in finding instructions or parts diagrams than I did. I do not believe that I should begin my use of any newly purchased tool by repairing it. I elected to return the tool to the supplier for a refund. This tool would earn a 5-star rating if a little more time and care had been spent inspecting it and adjusting it, and including instructions and a parts list with an exploded diagram in the package. However, that did not happen in this instance.

Can I get a replacement instruction LABEL (sticker) for the Rotoflex tool? It came off when solvent-cleaning some nasty crud the tool accidentally got covered in.
