How do you adjust the cutting level? I am having problems with being able to close the unit fresh out of the box?

There are 2 ways to adjust the cutting depth by using the 2 adjusting knobs.
The smaller twist-knob, located near the handle, will be used for micro adjustments while the larger, located on the backside, is used for macro adjustments.
