As the company continues its efforts to remain generationally-sustainable, Southwire announced organizational changes this week.

Chief Financial Officer Guyton Cochran and Chief People & Culture Officer Fernando Esquivel have made the decision to retire. Christy Wright moves into the role of Executive Vice President of Supply Chain.

“Since joining the company in December, much of my time has been spent visiting our facilities and connecting with our team members and customers,” President and CEO Ganesh Ramaswamy said. “These leaders are a great example of the People Behind the Power. Their hard work and dedication have made a lasting impact on Southwire, one that will remain as we continue to grow into our next 100 years of providing sustainable wire and cable solutions for people around the world.”

Wright joined Southwire in 2007, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Metals & Supply Chain. She has spent the majority of her 19-year tenure at the company in Finance and Risk Management while supporting various business groups within the organization. She joined Southwire from EBSCO Industries.

With the recent departures, Wright is one of two Executive Team members stepping into interim roles. These two leaders bring more than 30 years of experience at Southwire to their interim roles leading Finance and People & Culture. In addition to her position as EVP of Supply Chain, Wright will serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer. Chief Compliance Officer Burt Fealing will step in as Interim Chief People & Culture Officer, in addition to his current roles.

The company will soon begin to actively recruit for these positions.
