Protect Your Commercial Building with Red Alert® Type MC-FPLP

Oct 11, 2018

For your shielded fire alarm and control needs, Red Alert® Type MC-FPLP Fire Alarm Cable has what you're looking for. Its lightweight aluminum armor makes it as much as 45% lighter than steel MC cable and reduces installation costs up to 50% over pipe and wire. It is encased in a red interlocked armor for easy identification and systems separation for use in ducts, plenums, or other environmental air handling spaces.

To further improve upon this product, it is also constructed with soft-drawn copper conductors and insulated with flame-retardant and heat-resistant PVC with an outer oil and gasoline-resistant nylon jacket. The circuit conductors and a green insulated grounding conductor are cabled together and a polypropylene tape is wrapped around the assembly. The cable is dual rated as 90°C dry, 600 Volt Type MC and 105°C dry, 300 Volt Type FPLP cable.

“Contractors want products that help streamline their installations without sacrificing quality,” stated Adam Almon, the Director of MC Flex & Liquidtight products. “Our mission is to help make the lives of contractors easier, safer, and more efficient and the Red Alert® Type MC-FPLP hits all of those points.”
