Sometimes, a false indication.
I likethe lesser priced model better. The one thatdoesn'tmeasure low voltage. I will use this only onan occasion when there is no high voltagein the near proxim9. I think others have had problems with it as it was pulled off the shelves at Lowe's and jut was restocked there recently. Raises my concern if there shouldn't have been a recall.

Terrible
This item is terrible it work for maybe 1 hour and then the power button came off this was the second time that I have purchased this item because I thought it was a freak accident then I realized that no it is the power button it is defective very defective do not purchase it

Quit after a month
Im a full time electrician so i use these alot this one Worked good for a month then quit now I have to buy another ...dont think I'll be using this product again

Horrible

I have a Southwire Model 40126N. Sometimes it goes Beep-Beep while in my shirt pocket when not turned on.
What would cause that to happen. Has Southwire had any reports of that happening. Also do you have any idea why that would happen.

i bought a Dual range ac voltage detector/flashlight about a year maybe a year and a half. about a week ago i was useing it after i just put new batterys in it. it started getting warm while i was using it and all the sudden it shocked me.now it dont work
