Used for a day.
Bought this unit thinking it would be a good addition to my test tools.
Used it for a day and took it back for a refund. Might work great in a home environment.

I got it to work alright. While touching the 2 together it made almost 0 noise. 26 decibels is a whisper it says. But i wouldn't put it in that level.

Can you use this to test rj45 connectivity through a rack mounted switch?

We would not recommend using the T200K to trace cable from an RJ45 mounted switch.

is there an attachment to test RJ45 cables that is not connected in wall.Meaning it is a loose cat5 wire, no plug attached

Is using this on house wiring with the breaker turned off ok? I need to trace circuits from breaker box to all endpoints. Also will this pick up the signal through standard romex?

Yes you can use this on de-energized circuits, however this will not trace behind walls. Yes, it will work on Romex.

I bought this yesterday at Lowes in Asheville , NC.. Told the store guy I need to find electrical wires in the wall.. He said this was the best but when looking at the pics on package, it doesn't show electrical wire..I haven't opened so want to know if
