New tool for me
This is a new tool for me and I have not had a chance to use it in the field. The first thing I noticed when I opened the package is that it comes in two pieces, but it does not come with a box or bag to keep everything together while stored. I will update performance as soon as I get a chance to use it.

Great tool to have for low voltage
Great product. Easy to use. Only draw back is that it does not come with a case to keep everything together. Also does not come with a cat5 or cat6 cable to use for patch panels, so you have to make your own but you can test them once you do!

Great functionality!
This cable mapper feels very solid in your hand. The functionality is awesome. I really like the ability to tone individual pairs within cables. I also appreciate the dial switch. Seems like they had Electricians in mind in the design phase.

Innovative
I was able to identify multiple lines at one time, so easy to use. Made my job easier and more efficient. The only complaint I have is that it could use a canvas case for the multiple tools that come with it, other than that I was impressed

Reliable and Useful
Highly reliable cable tester and mapper. The testing features for RJ-45 and RJ-11 cables have proven accurate. I haven't had a chance to use the coax test yet, but I am confident that it will work every it as well as the others.

Got a cable -Map it!
No matter if it is a phone line, cat 5 or 6 network line or coax, this tool will help you figure out the tangle mess of cables. Used this side by side with other name brand mapper and performed just as well as or better.

Good item
Great for testing and telling which port is which. Need a cable length feature, needs a small case to help protect and secure the little extras that come with it.
Go ahead and order M310 to expand to 16 ports.

Best product yet!
This is easily my favorite tool from Southwire yet! Cable mapper and toner?!? I can find up to 6 cables at once! And know if there is a break in the line or if my wire was terminated incorrectly! Awesome job!

Excellent Southwire Tool
I got the M300P, Professional VDV Cable Mapper, Southwire Tool about one week ago and wanted to take my time using it to provide a proper evaluation. I read through the Operating Instruction Guide to make sure that I could appropriately conduct tests of COAX, Twisted Pair and Phone Cable using this tool.
The tool is great although you need to purchase a separate amplifier probe like the Southwire Model T120AP in order to hear the tones generated depending on the type of testing you are doing or cables you are tracing.
You can test individual RJ11, RJ45 (CAT3, CAT5E and CAT6), and COAX RG59, RG6, RG6Q cables which will indicate whether the cable had a Pass or Fail, Open, Short scenario. You'll see exactly what wires are Reversed or whether you have a cross over cable. It is great to see quickly exactly how the connectors are wired.
You can additionally test cables indicated above in your home with the remote capability included.
Testing your Phone, Ethernet or Video Cables is extremely easy with a nice easy to read screen. I'd recommend this product to anyone!

This mapper has many features that are only available in higher end models fomr other manufacturers. This mapper allows you to very quickly and easily verify cable runs and/or troubleshoot issues.

High quality tool

Nice piece of equipment!
