Can this be used to trace the cable feeding the outlet the transmitter is plugged into?

No, this product is not designed to trace live cable.

I bought this circuit tester at Lowe's with instructions and battery missing. Lowe's gave me a battery but no instructions. Can you provide the instruction manual either on the internet or by mail?
