Rated 1 out of 5 by firestingray from Sloppy crimps on insulated terminals I bought this to crimp insulated ring terminals onto some 12AWG wire. The crimps are secure, much better than the cheap multi tool I was using before, but it stretches the insulation to the point that it slides back from the terminal. My tool also had the markings for the insulated and non-insulated sections reversed. It has been disappointing to see a good secure connection, then have the insulation ruined. The only good thing I can say about it is the wire cutter portion is nice. You can get some good leverage.
