why is the end designed like it is? Being bent back on itself looks like it would tend to hang up in emt conduit or snag on existing wires.

Asked by: bmac
We recommend this fish tape for use in empty conduit. If snagging is a concern, we recommend the addition of our FTFL13, the flexible steel fish tape leader with eyelet. If fishing through conduit that already has wire, we recommend one of our SIMpull™ fish tapes with a non-conductive tip eyelet.

How do you put a leader on a steel fish tape

Asked by: Need answer
"1. Cut off the formed loop at the end of the steel fish tape making a clean, perpendicular cut, and thread the fish tape through the small end of the leader bullet head. 2. Use a torch to head the cut end of the fish tape to red hot and using a pair of pliers carefully bend 1/8”-3/16” of the fish tape into a small loop. 3. Once cooled, attached the threaded end of the fish tape leader to the bullet head and firmly tighten."
