A "must-have" tool for working with Romex
I have had this for a few weeks and already consider it to be a "must-have" tool for doing electrical work. The convenience of being able to accurately and reliably cut and strip Romex cable with a single tool increased my productivity on the job. The weight and feel of the tool in my hand make it a joy to use; says quality all the way.

amazing cable stripper
i was so amazed how good this cable stripper was,it looks like a small tool but does the job very well,it is such a high quality tool,will last for along time,handles so easy to hold it and when you cut the cable don't need to press too hard,so easy and quick,this tool always goes with me it is small so i can always put in my pocket

Great wire stripper
If you do a lot with Romex. its a must. Its easier, faster, and safer than using a knife. I keep in it my electric tool bag. It cuts the outershield and the paper insulation all at once. Sharp and fast. Also has a nice feel. It strips 12 and 14 gauge with separate cutters for individual wires.

Decent Strippers
Decent strippers--sort of single use, but they still work great. They are most useful for residential electrical work where you are using a lot of Romex everyday. My only complaint is that they take some force to squeeze and I could see my hands getting tired after using them for a full day.

Best sheathing skinners
Loved these pliers for the simple reason they work so well. Cuts smooth, and skinning the sheathing off of 14/2 was a charm with these pliers. I was surprised by the shape of the cutting blade, but it outperformed straight blades by a lot! Definitely a must use in my tooll belt now

Great go to Romex strippers
Got this about 2 weeks ago that's held up pretty good with day to day tasks, cuts the sheathing off real nice, thay have a good feel in the hand, i had some wires nicked once but that might have been the positioning of the strippers, love the holes in them to bend the loops easy

Bright Handles make it hard to lose.
Southwire has clearly been making a lot of different roads to navigate the world of tool making lately. These strippers are an example of that. The romex jacket stripper is great and makes for nice clean entrances into boxes. The strippers handle shearing of the common 6/32 & 8/32 machine screw well and the factory threads seem to hold up well over time. The bright yellow handles make these very easy to see which is a plus for people who tend to misplace their tools. However, overall I am not happy with the product. Quality control on this was not its best. The spring was inadequate and would somehow get stuck from time to time where I would have to tap them to spring back open again. The center bolt came loose very early on with light use, which made the two heads misaligned. I also felt the two heads were too thin, especially noticeable with # 12 romex as it made the heads bend slightly when cutting. There is no doubt Southwire is capable of making great things and for sure there is room for improvement on this item.

Great Tool
These are great especially if your going to be cutting certain gauge wire consistently, very sharp, effortlessly cuts through plastic wiring. Doesn’t seem cheaply made as far not being loose where it is joined together. Would definitely purchase this product!

Very poor quality
I bought this stripper two months ago and after the first couple of weeks use, the lock came loose and broke off, then spring fell off and got lost. And the worst part is when I strip romex 14/2 or 12/2 it always damages the my white and black conductors.

Outstanding Tool for stripping Romex 12/2 and 14/2
I was extremely pleased with the ease in which the tool stripped the Romex wire.
The tool stripped the Romex sheathing perfectly without any damage to the wires.
I would highly recommend this tool to all electricians. It is a must have tool.

My #1 pair of strippers for romex
These are the best no more cuting the conductor sheathing. Strips the outside cover of romex off with out touching the inside. They could have put more then just 2 gauges on one pair but still we'll worth every penny

Perfect tool
Got this couple weeks ago works great! Always used regular stoppers to strip Romex this make it way easier to work with sharp blades along with the plier grip on the tip. Great tool highly recommend it.

Quality Romex Strippers
I had never used a Romex stripper before and now i would be very unhappy without these. Quality built comfortable double dipped handles with 6 and 8/32 bolt cutters these work very well.

Review on SW vs. a pair of Klein's
We tested it against a pair of Klein's on 12/2 NM & UF. The SW pair cut much better initially but was about the same after numerous cuts. I would buy the SW pair.

Comes in handy!

Great set of strippers
great for RX wire and stripping down to copper for turns to put under screws for devices . Can cut trade size screws down and still save the threads .

Great addition to your to toolbox
This stripper doesn't beat your everyday wire stripper, but it is the best option for 14/2 and 12/2 romex wires.
