I cannot get Bluetooth started on 30 Amp 931.

Can the 34931 be used with an inverter? Generator?

Cannot find device (34931 30A). Tried setting up on App. Bluetooth says Surge REM... connected. I can get to searching for device and it just sits there. I also have Surge Guard 40301 and it can't find the device either.
