Hi, I lost the coax to rj45 cable and need to check a wire. Is there a specific cable I can pick up locally? Is there a way to make my own. I have the tools and skills. Thx

Unfortunately, we don’t sell those separately. You could potentially crimp the RJ45 cable heads to a jumper cable. There are likely jumper cables available online that are already terminated with both RJ45 ends. We hope this helps!

When pressing the test button without a cable connected, S always blinks and SHORT is always on. This was right out of the box

I have the tester every cable I have test all green with the “s” blinking red? Even the short cables that came packaged with unit

How far can you go for the remote to work?

We do not have a specified range with the M550. These are designed to be used in residential & commercial applications so within the building codes, the M550 will be able to detect category & coax cable.
