Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea! TERRIBLE QUALITY!!! I used 2 of these on a job where I had to move a fixture and add another over a dining table. These boxes were perfect for the job as both fixtures were next to the rafters. I cut the holes, fished the wires and installed the boxes. The boxes were great, install quick and easy. Perfect for what I was doing. HOWEVER, the next day the homeowner messaged me, A FIXTURE FELL! I went to the job, and the box had broken where the 8-32's, that come with the box, go. The ears just snapped off. Now these fixtures only weigh about 25-30 pounds, well under the 50 pound rating. So no reason why the box should fail. I removed the other fixture and checked that box, and there were cracks in basically the same place as the first box had broken. I replaced the boxes with something else and will never use these boxes again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Concept, Flawed Execution These look like a good idea, where they could be used for both new and old work, but a number of flaws made them frustrating to use. The cable clamps in most non-metallic boxes are borderline useless and often make the installation difficult, but these are way worse than the Carlon style clamps. Difficult to insert NM cable, oddly placed, and they are marked as wire-size specific. What a pain. They're even difficult to remove (which was necessary to make the box usable for my application). There's also a sharp triangle (admittedly plastic) at the back of the clamps that seems like it could cause cable damage during installation or over time. The wallboard depth tabs barely protrude beyond the box, and the box leaped around as I tried to drive the angled screws. More difficult than it should be to set the box level and to the proper depth. The screws are low quality, and the Phillips drive slots stripped out on one of the screws. I was ultimately able to get the box to work for my application, but then there was a final "pain". There is a large black and white label on the outside of the box that looked bad in my exposed application. When I tried to remove it, I discovered that the label didn't have an easy-strip adhesive, and it tore into small pieces as I tried to remove it. Wound up using a scraper and paint thinner to get the label off. Grrrrrrrr! Good concept, flawed execution.
