Page 6 of the attached manual shows instructions for checking AC / DC Voltage. For batteries, it would be DC Voltage.

What setting is for volts
Asked by: Ray ray
The setting with ‘V’ is for Volts. This is the Blue-labeled section on the multimeter.
If you want to test AC Voltage, you may need to push the red ‘Mode’ button until ‘AC’ is displayed on left side of the screen. The ‘V’ for voltage will be displayed on the right side of the screen.
If you want to test DC Voltage, you may need to push the red ‘Mode’ button until ‘DC’ is displayed on left side of the screen. The ‘V’ for voltage will be displayed on the right side of the screen.

The previous question ask about reseting the fuse. You answered "there is no resetable fuse" but it says right on the device "resetable fuse". I'm confused.

I have a this meter. I am trying to discover if the fuse just needs resetting or if the entire meter has gone bad. How does one reset the fuse within the meter?
Asked by: LadyElisabeth
These are not resettable fuses. You can validate if the fuse is blown by testing the fuse in the continuity setting.
