The T100PK will not be able to detect cable that us buried underground, unfortunately.

Circuit was off at breaker. I connected red to common and black to ground. "Pop" from the T110TG. fuse? Replaceable? Or did I just destroy my brand new unit.

When doing a continuity test the red LED lights up even when not connected to a circuit. Why does the light not disappear to indicate bad continuity when the leads aren’t connected? Model T110TG

Can the T100PK be used to trace low voltage outdoor lighting cable buried under approximately 3 to 4 inches of soil?

No, we would not recommend this Tone & Probe kit for any type of underground application or tracing through conduit.
