Surprisingly convenient.
We used the Romex Brand SmartBox Shark Tooth Fixture Box in a residence with 5/8" sheet rock ceiling. We started drilling but had to go in reverse since the teeth caught a few times. Once the teeth dug in to the sheetrock it cut right through.
Pricing is a factor with this tool at almost $10.00 per box but the convenience of not searching for a hole saw or cutting the hole to fit another round box may be worth the price.

Flush mount led garage lights
I'm putting flush mount led lights in my garage. I decided to use the Smart Box (shark tooth) for this project. I think this will beat having to use the key hole saw for this project and tracing out the outline of each box. Is all I had to do was to find all the ceiling joist. The shark tooth smart box made cutting the holes a breeze. The three ears held the shark tooth smart box tight to the ceiling and flush. The shark tooth smart box is plenty deep enough to make up the electoral connection and room for the small led ballasts. The only problem I had was that the nut to drill the hole broke off just as I punched through the sheet rock. Other than this small problem, I love shark tooth smart box.

Very simple and easy to use.
Romex Brand Smartbox.
This thing was a breeze to use. Very easy installation. Determine the hole location. Use the hole saw blade with 9/16 bit. Drill the hole at a little bit of an angle. And put the box in and tighten the screws, that hold the box in place. Boom you're done.
Simple and easy.

Solid time saver! Great for add-on!
Easy to use, when you follow the included instructions. Strong materials used. Minimal tools required for installation. Solid locking tab system for reliable, permanent installation. Looking forward to future opportunities to use.

Great for homeowners
This is a great idea for homeowners. It allows someone to cut the perfect size hole for the box. For a professional, it would be okay if doing one hole. If you need to do more than one hole, it is easier to use a holesaw.

Cut your installs in the third of the time
This is a great little way to install a bunch of electrical components (lights, Outlet fan boxes etc.) in the ceiling. It has teeth on the outside you connected to a drill and you’re good to go. it saves so much time.

Good for quickly adding a light box in sheetrock.
Works well in sheetrock as long as you dont envounter a strapped ceiling. It does not work on solid pine or lathe and plaster. The teeth does add some depth to the junction box. So it will not work on shallow walls and ceilings or when there are obstacles such as piping inside the wall or ceiling.
