Just got my new cutters but I can't seem to get them to release. I squeeze the handles together and push the lever but it doesn't release.

Squeeze the handles together, while keeping the handles held together, press the lever upwards and then release the handles to allow the blade’s release.

How do you get the blade to release.

Squeeze Handles together. Push the pin located near handle upwards. Release handles and the blade will be able to swing freely.
