5 in 1 good for some not all
The cutting point is labeled for solid wire. Works great for that. Tried it on strand wire, not so good. They are not sharp enough to cleanly cut the casing or fibers separating the wires. Depending on the job at hand these might not be the best choice. I do like the spring opening, convenient one handed use. The pliers end has a good grip and useful.

Mult--tasker!
Wonderful tool! I can eliminate almost 3 other tools from my toolbox with this set of pliers. I like its heft and spring action crux. The lock works well and it is an added benefit to keep the points together, almost like a vise-grip.
It cuts and strips with ease, but haven't had the opportunity to crimp anything. But I'm sure the crimping feature will work just fine.
I will not be doing any pipe reaming with this tool, but the edges make for a fine rasp.
I really like thee pliers. Thank you Southwire!

I LIKE IT
I have been using this tool for a couple of weeks now and found it to be a handy little everyday tool to have. The five in one I found to be a great tool for maintenance type projects where multi tool comes in handy. You can put it in your pouch or pocket with a screwdriver and your ready to go! Not real good for tight short crimps or wire cuts, but it is a very useful tool. The pipe reamer works well and is my new go to tool for conduit. I highly recommend this tool made tough in USA!

C+ Multi-tool
Theoretically this would be a great tool if it had a different design. It has 5 very useful tools, however the execution of them is not so functional. The cutting and crimping features are poor. I had to try way too hard to cut some 10 (3) NM. I could get much leverage on the crimps either. If you had to make joins all day your hand would be sore. They need longer handles. The up side is that the wire strippers worked well. The needle nose feature was great and the make shift wrench/nut holder was great. That comes in handy in a pinch. They are cool looking pliers but they they need to put the high leverage features on a different tool and maybe add a screw cutter or something to the remaining features. These plier do seem really well built and that they would last several years in the field.

Must-have for electrical work
Most multi-function tools do one or two things well, and not so well on the other stuff. Southwire's 5-N-1 Pliers are NOT that kind of tool. Every feature works and works well. The cutter is extremely sharp and slices through standard gauge wire easily. HINT: Watch your fingers! The pliers easily strip 10, 12 and 14 ga. wire. I particularly like the gripping surface of the plier jaws; there's a semi-circular area that's meant for conduit or bolts, and a flat area for those needle-nose applications. The pliers also have serrations to ream standard size conduit. And there's a beefy crimper face at the base of the handle. Everything works the way I want. And the handle lock is large, easy to operate (even with gloves) and it locks the handle securely. I'd say for anyone doing electrical work, this is a big deal.

My new favorite tool
I reviewed this 5-N-1 multi-tool and it instantly became one of my favorite hand tools. It combines a stripper for #14 gage, #12 gage and #10 gage wire. It also has a needle nose pliers, a conduit reamer, a crimper and a wire cutter.
My favorite part of the tool is the large gage wire cutter. It saves me from having to carry a separate wire cutter. I was able to cut through #6 solid copper wire with not much effort.
The wire strips rather easily. It has markings for solid wire on one side of the stripper. I thought the other side would indicate stranded but it didn't. No big deal. The user just had to remember to go up one size on the stripper for stranded wire to avoid nicking or cutting the wire strands.
I also tried to crimp a fork lug on #10 wire and it crimped very well.
The tool feels very good in the hand and has good balance. You can tell it is made of good quality steel by its weight and feel. The handles are soft but sturdy and doesn't slip out of the hand.
In the closed position I'm guessing the reamer would work on conduits 3/4" -1". For 1/2" conduit you can ream with the handles opened.
In my opinion this is a very useful tool that will be a nice addition to my tool belt.

Excellent Tool To Own
Well, what can I tell you about the Southwire Tool - 5-N-1 MULTI TOOL PLIERS. First of all, Southwire has been know to produce excellent tools for the professional and handyman for years. But this pliers are so good I have to rate them a 10. The fill and material of this pliers are top of the line. I have been using them around my house and they are working great. I highly recommend them for the simple reason they are what they say they are (5-N-1 MULTI TOOL PLIERS).

Southwire Professional Multi Tool Pliers
Received this 5 n 1 tool a couple of weeks ago, It now is my favorite tool in the bag. For the DIY, it's a must have, you will use it around the house daily. For the electrician, you will find yourselves using this tool more than any other in your bag. So much so that you might start getting rid of you other tools in your bag that are being duplicated by this one tool. Feels great and so far has been very durable- it's a keeper!

Multitool Pliers fits multiple jobs!
This tool works very well on the rough in and finish of various electrical projects. By combining a crimper, striper and nip, this plier allows for one tool box make up in Romex® work, does a great job of helping hold wires together for twisting in stranded work. The only draw back is that it never loosen up from the start. The hinge stay extremely tight and I sometimes needed both hands to open the plier.

Nice combination of tools.
This is a good combination electricians tool. The large wire cutter works very well, and the conduit reamer feature reams well. I really like that it is spring loaded, and the spring lock so far works really well. As an HVAC tech the only thing I could ask for is a version that strips smaller gauge wire, as that is what I work with a lot more. That being said it is a very good, well made combination tool.

HEAVILY BUILT
THE 5-N-1 MULTI TOOL PLIERS IS WELL BUILT AND WOULD MAKE THE MILITARY PROUD! ALL FUNCTIONS WORK AS EXPECTED, BUT THE TOOL IS TOO LARGE FOR MY LIKING. I WOULD PREFER IT TO BE A BIT SMALLER AND LIGHTER IN WEIGHT, WHICH WOULD ALSO MAKE IT EASIER TO MANIPULATE IN YOUR HAND. THAT BEING SAID, IT SHOULD LAST A LONG TIME AS IT APPEARS TO BE ALMOST INDESTRUCTIBLE.

Great Universal tool easy to locate
This products has been one of the most useful products that I have put in my pouch in a long time. It basically replaces 5 separate tools that I had once carried in my pouch. I would recommend this product to any electrician Less tools in pocket better. Can't find anything so universal.

Great multitool!
This tool is awesome with a great feel in you hand! Pliers work great as do the needle nose. Only two downsides us the gauge variety is only 14 to 10 and the lock feature actually works against it since when you put them away it unlocks very easily. Still a very recommendable tool.

Nicely designed product
These pliers are very nice! Ruggedly built to handle whatever I'm throwing at them and some of the additional uses integrated into the tool allow for more versatility so I'm not searching for another tool, I can just keep working to get the job done... I highly recommend these!

Space saver
I hadon't this for 2 days now and I've managed to pull a few tools out of my tool bag. To be honest I don't carry 10 tools just the 5-N-1 pliers diagnal cutters and 11-N-1 screw driver. I had trouble sometimessage stripping SO cord but this tool made it easier.

Another must have
Another must have tool, with features keeping the hands on need of daily tradesmen in mind. Having reamer,crimpers,cutters, stripper,and gripper readily available in one tools for those top of the ladder repairs when less is more safe.ans safety is a must

I am not very happy . Purchased from Lowe's store in Indianapolis Indiana. Only had used them a total of about 45 minutes and the pivot point on them snapped . Was terminating 10 gauge wire in the panel stripping . Was told by Lowes good that was abuse.

Great All-In-One Tool
Excellent strippers and cutter--nice and sharp, easy cuts. The crimper part works well, but I still prefer my regular crimpers for most things. I do wish the tip was a little finer and more like regular needle nose to make wire loops a bit better.

Game changer
I use these all day when pulling wire. Everyone stops and asks me what they are and where to get a pair. Strippers, rabbit ears,crimper, and needle nose all in one. Knipex makes something similar for 4 times the price. These are just as good.

Southwire 5 n 1 multitool
Received this tool couple days ago, works pretty good. Strippers are alittle off. Spring assist open is alittle strong for my liking. Pipe Reaming grooves should be at an angle for better Reaming, the way they are now does no good.

Having 5 features in one is nice. Tool is a little bulky but having not to change tools for simple every day wiring is great. Cutters and strippers are well placed, plier end to twist wire together make quick work to finish the job.

Great tool
When I got this it took alittle bit of getting used to from my normal tools. But this is my new favorite stripper. The grips feel nice in your hands and it strips wire like a hot knife through butter. Definitely recommended!

5-N-1 review
this tool has a lot of nice features I thought I would really like it, but overall I am a little disappointed. First the positive features. The size and weight is just right. The needle nose is tapered nicely. The internal spring is concealed so it opens and closes easily. The locking device is positioned in just the right place so it does not interfere with the built in crimper. I found the size of the cable cutter large enough to cut through 12/3 mc cable but I was disappointed with it's cutting ability. Although I don't have large hands I can usually cut 12/3 mc with one hand with a pair of high leverage cable cutters, with this tool It required me to use two hands. I even found it difficult to cut 14/3 nm-b with one hand.
The three solid wire strippers (14/12/10) do strip solid wire nicely, I did not attempt to strip stranded so I can't evaluate that.
I think if I were trying to reduce the number of tools in my pouch this tool could replace a couple of tools, ie needle nose, cable cutter, pipe reamer and stripper. I am as they say an "old dog" so teaching me "new tricks" is not so easy.
