At Southwire, living well means much more than earning competitive wages and benefits. We are determined to build a diverse workforce. Since 2004, nearly half of all new managerial and professional hires have been either minority or female. The wire and cable industry’s average for lost-time accidents hovers at 1.4 accidents per million hours worked. Southwire’s 2007 rate through September was 0.23 – roughly one-seventh the national rate.
