BENEFITS
Project GIFT® Kids provides a host of benefits to all involved, including working alongside parents and the Southwire GIFT team to help with community efforts, developing community leadership within kids, introducing kids to the softer side of Southwire, fostering development of moral character and instilling a sense of duty and responsibility.

KIDS’ PLEDGE
As embodied by the Project GIFT® Kids motto, We Give,” Project GIFT® Kids asks its participants to promise to give their time and talents to help their parents and Southwire in Giving Inspiration for Tomorrow, and to help improve our community and the environment.

TO QUALIFY
Participants must be at least 5 years old and may continue to participate up to the age of 15. Each year, all participants must participate in at least one major project with the Southwire GIFT team.

REWARDS
In addition to the reward of giving, participants will receive a Kids GIFT shirt and, for those participating in three or more projects per year, a plaque for outstanding service.

POTENTIAL PROJECTS
Several projects are currently being considered, including a Back to School Giveaway, a Community Day, Toys for Tots Collection, having participants read Southwire sponsored materials to local kindergarten, first grade and second grade classes and assisting Southwire personnel with presentations to local classrooms on topics such as Southwire science and environmental projects.

CURRENT KID ACTIVITIES
Aside from participating in community projects, Project Gift Kids offers a variety of fun activities, such as a monthly coloring contest, a Christmas card design contest and a Christmas ornament contest.
