Jack Carlson, President Electrical
Jack Carlson has been with Southwire since 2001 and is President of its Electrical Division. He has direct oversight of all business conducted within the Electrical Distributor, Retail and Industrial Power Cable channels and markets.
Carlson began his career as a field sales engineer in 1979 with Square D Company. During his 18 years with the company, Carlson held a variety of positions including District Manager, Product Manager, VP/GM Motor Control Division, VP Industrial Segment and VP Marketing.
In 1997, Carlson became the Chief Executive Officer of Yale Security Group Americas Sector, a world leader in the lock and security business. He was simultaneously the President of Yale/Corbin U.S., the largest of the 7 companies that reported to him. The remaining companies included Tesa Entry Systems, Yale Residential, Chubb Lock & Safe (Canada), Folger Adams (Detention), Yale LaFonte (Brazil) and Tesa Mexico. While serving as Sector CEO, Carlson grew the business by 30% while achieving 18% EBITDA.
