Guyton Cochran, Executive VP & CFO
J. Guyton Cochran, Jr. is Executive Vice President and CFO, Finance, at Southwire Company. In this position, he is responsible for several accounting and finance areas, as well as competitive tracking, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Cochran joined Southwire in 1995 as the wire and cable controller and later moved to the business process design team. He was named director of finance at Southwire in 1999 and was promoted to vice president, finance, in January 2000.
Cochran graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting in 1988. In 1995, he earned his M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga.
His professional and civic involvement includes membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and alumni clubs of the University of Georgia and Georgia State University.
