Floyd Smith, Senior VP, General Counsel & Secretary
Floyd Smith is Southwire’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel. He also serves as Secretary to the Company’s Board of Directors. Smith is responsible for managing the Company’s legal affairs.
Smith joined Southwire in 2006 after completing a 28-year career with the privately held consumer products company, S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. During his time with S.C. Johnson, he was involved in a broad range of legal issues and focused his practice on litigation, mergers, acquisitions and international business development.
Smith received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, graduating cum laude from Kansas State University. He is an Order of the Coif graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.
Smith is a member of the Carroll County Symphony Board of Directors and is a trustee of the University of West Georgia Foundation.
