Subject: Price Change Announcement for Bare Aluminum, Covered Aluminum, and Medium Voltage

In response to escalating costs, effective December 1, 2010, Southwire’s Energy Division will increase prices on utility products. As a general guideline, prices will be increased:

% Increase
Bare Transmission and Distribution 10%
600V Overhead & Underground Distribution 10%
Medium Voltage 10%

New price sheets (BA41 – Bare Aluminum, CA41 – Covered Aluminum, and MV24 – Medium Voltage) and discount sheet DS-UTP-76 will be posted on http://www.southwire.com/ on or before November 29, 2010, and can be found by going directly to http://www.southwire.com/ordering/PriceSheetIndex.htm

Additionally:

The above increases will be in effect immediately for all new quotations
Open quotations will be subject to review and price adjustment prior to order acceptance
Orders received prior to December 1, 2010, for abnormally large quantities, or with future delivery dates, will be subject to review and possible price adjustment prior to order acceptance
