Subject: Price Change Announcement for Bare Aluminum, Covered Aluminum, and Medium Voltage
In response to escalating costs for critical raw materials used in the manufacture of wire and cable,
effective April 23, 2010, Southwire’s Energy Division will raise prices on utility products. As a general guideline, prices will be raised:
% Increase

Bare Transmission and Distribution 10 %

600V Overhead & Underground Distribution 10 %

Medium Voltage 10 %
New price sheets (BA39 – Bare Aluminum, CA39 – Covered Aluminum, and MV22 – Medium Voltage) and discount sheet DS-UTP-74 will be posted on http://www.southwire.com/Southwire.htm as of April 23, and can be found by going directly to http://www.southwire.com/ordering/PriceSheetIndex.htm
Additionally:
- The above increases will be in effect immediately for all new quotations
- Open quotations will be subject to review and price adjustment prior to order acceptance
- Orders received prior to April 23, 2010, for abnormally large quantities, or with future delivery dates, will be subject to review and possible price adjustment prior to order acceptance
